What is SEVIS number?

It is a number assigned by Student and Exchange Visitor Information System that the U.S. government uses to maintain accurate and current information on non-immigrant students (F and M visa), exchange visitors (J visa), and their dependents (F-2, M-2, and J-2).

Where can I find my SEVIS number?

All SEVIS ID numbers start with the letter N. On the Form I-20, the number is on the top

On the DS-2019, the number is on the top right hand side of the page in the box above the barcode.
